What I'm Listening To Right Now

Over the past few months I've become a big fan of Emerson's radio station - the most professional sounding college radio station I've heard. They even have regular playlists and don't follow the standard "play it once because I like it" college DJ format. Anyway, here are the songs WERS has introduced me to and I now listen to compulsively:

  1. "The Dress" by Blonde Redhead
  2. "Pretty Little Thing" by Fink
  3. "Hljomalind" by Sigur Ros (the band who also gave the world's worst interview)
  4. "Weathervane" by Kris Delmhorst
  5. "Down The Line" by Jose Gonzalez
  6. "Long Way" by Antje Duvekot
  7. "Small Revolution" by Lindsay Mac
  8. "9 Crimes" by Damien Rice

Pick them up when you get a chance. The songs "9 Crimes" and "Long Way" have reduced me to tears while riding the train. How embarrassing.

Overview

  • Dave Greten is a 35 year old writer/editor/web designer living in Boston. He is married with a daughter and has a B.A. in English from the University of New Hampshire.

Dave works for home improvement superstar Bob Vila. This is ironic because Dave grew up in a condo and has never even mowed a lawn.

  • Since having a child, I no longer have time to read. I do, however, watch Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy every night.
